70.3 - Countdown Is On
Playing with this idea in my head since the summer of my accident. I enjoy swimming and biking, and starting to understand the taste for running from the half marathon with the sister in the spring. Needing a nice come back track to get myself in a better mind space overall, I decide while one weekend while sick to sign up for an IronMan 70.3.
I signed up in the middle of the night after looking over some courses to pick from (Muskoka, ON or Mont Tremblant, QC). I decided to pick the course that was closer for family to come visit to watch and still get it done before my 27th birthday - this being Muskoka, ON.
Without realizing I signed up exactly 36 weeks to the day, in preparation for my first 70.3. 9 Months is a good base line to give myself to see how big of a base can be built and ample amount of time to give myself some testing throughout.
I know through this process there will many bad days, good days, and average days. There will be many days I will feel like I am not doing enough, but each day if I follow my plan I have nothing to fear but my mind itself.
